Feed The Kid Drink Water Make Milk

Water. We can’t live without it. But let’s be honest, do y’all drink enough of it everyday? I know I don’t. If you’re breastfeeding, it’s extremely important to drink plenty of water. I’m definitely working on this!

According to ASK Dr. Sears, for a breastfeeding mother you should be drinking 8 ounces of water everytime you feed your baby. So if your baby eats 8 times a day than you should be getting 64 ounces.

So this is my goal. Everytime I feed Holden I will drink an 8 ounce glass of water. This seems doable.


So we all know that drinking water helps boost milk production but what other benefits can I expect from upping my water intake?

  1. Balance of my body’s fluids
  2. Control my calories
  3. Energize my muscles
  4. Keep my skin clear
  5. Flush my kidneys
  6. Help in the bathroom (with #2’s!)
  7. Relieve my fatigue
  8. Improve my mood
  9. Treat my headaches
  10. Help me lose weight
  11. Flush out my toxins
  12. Regulate my body temperature
  13. Controls bad breath (don’t deny, we all have morning breath! 😉)
  14. Increase my productivity by keeping my mind sharp
  15. Help prevent pain
  16. Help fight illness

I have no idea why I slack so much on drinking water but I’m going to up my game! Who’s with me?
